Robert T began performing at the age of 7 in backyard talent shows with singing groups madeup of neighborhood friends along with his older brother. Born in the “Show Me State” of St. Louis, Mo., he began singing and performing at a very early age. Soon, he and his brother began to play the guitar, piano/organ and drums. By 1966, the family moved to Akron, Ohio where they continued their musical journey with new friends. After performing in more singing groups, Robert T and his friends began to form their own band called The Bro-hams. Soon, he became the driving force for several other bands, one notably, Robert T & The Midnight Movers.

Robert T’s early influences were too many to list. Chuck Berry, Ike & Tina Turner (his home town heroes), and Ray Charles, Little Richard, Elvis Presley, Little Willie John, The Great Jackie Wilson, and most of all, The Godfather Of Soul…Jaaames Brown!!!, and the list goes on.
His parents shared a common bond of southern values, being from Tennessee & Mississippi. He was also influenced by a rich culture from a musical family. His father & both grandmothers were superior gospel singers, and his maternal grandfather was a blues singer, guitarist, and a “buck dancer” for the Tennessee “chittlin’ ciruit”, and an uncle from St. Louis is currently a famous blues performer in Akron, Ohio.

Robert T recorded, wrote and co-wrote many songs for many bands & groups in the past, such as “Harrowing Man” with Conga Jihad Band, “I Like Them All” for
The Howard St. Blues Band, and a song from the 911 attack on America, “Who Will Rule Iraq” followed by a campaigne song for President Barrack Obama, titled “Obama’s Got The Power” (Oama Is The Best), which sold well from the trunk of his car, and can be heard on YouTube.
