Garth Brooks’ epic first album was released in 1989 as a major success, peaking at number 2 in the US country album charts and reaching number 13 on the Billboard 200 pop album chart. Garth released a string of hits off his first album, including “Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old), “ “If Tomorrow Never Comes.” (Reaching number one) “ Not Counting You” and “The Dance” (also reaching number one.)

His follow-up album, No Fences, was released in 1990 and spent 23 weeks as number one on the Billboard country music chart. The album also reached number three on the pop chart, and eventually became Garth’s highest-selling album. It contained what would become Garth’s signature song, the blue collar anthem “Friends in Low Places,” as well as two other classics, “The Thunder Rolls” and “Unanswered Prayers.

THE GARTH EXPERIENCE strives to take today’s audience back in time to the early 1990s when Garth’s music saturated the airwaves and his performances dominated country music awards, including winning the “Artist of the ‘90s” award. Scotty Williams, veteran country performer of over 30 years, was a Garth fan since the release of the first album. Relocating to the Nashville, TN area in 2010, fans constantly told Scotty he resembled Garth in both looks and sound, sparking them to request classic Garth hits, which lead to rave reviews of Scotty’s performances. This prompted Scotty to consider putting together a Garth tribute show to take fans back in time to the epic live performances of the 1992 “This is Garth Brooks” TV showcase. In 2012, Scotty had the opportunity to meet Garth and discuss his tribute show idea. After receiving Garth’s blessing, Scotty began moving forward with THE GARTH EXPERIENCE, leading to the performance you will see live on stage today.
